Yoshiki Foundation America is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit corporation founded in 2010 by Japanese musician YOSHIKI, leader of rock bands X Japan and The Last Rockstars.
Led by YOSHIKI's desire to help others following tragic events in his personal and professional life, Yoshiki Foundation America provides support for multiple causes important to this groundbreaking artist, including natural disaster relief and recovery, mental health and suicide prevention, and refugee assistance in the form of emergency relief operations throughout the world.
Supporting medical outreach and essential care for vulnerable individuals, ensuring everyone receives the help they deserve.
Providing urgent aid and resources to communities affected by natural disasters, helping them rebuild with dignity and hope.

When Yoshiki was 10 years old his life changed forever. His father passed away.

2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami
So many others experienced loss. On a mission to give hope, Yoshiki Foundation America was established.
Kobe Earthquake
On January 17, 1995, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake devastated Kobe, Japan. X Japan held a charity concert and donated several pianos to the impacted schools.
Sichuan Earthquake
On May 20th, 2008, the city of Sichuan, China, was hit by a magnitude 8.0 earthquake. Over 68,000 people were killed. Yoshiki traveled to the ruined city and witnessed the damage. He donated musical instruments to students who lost everything.
Tohoku Earthquake
On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Northeastern Japan, triggering a catastrophic tsunami. Yoshiki Foundation America raised over $250,000 for the Japan Red Cross Society. Among the donations, Yoshiki auctioned his drum set and crystal piano.
Kumamoto Earthquake
On April 14, 2016, a series of earthquakes, including a magnitude 7.0 quake, rocked Kumamoto, Japan. Yoshiki Foundation America donated 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross.
Hurricane Harvey
On April 17, 2017, Hurricane Harvey flooded Texas, USA displacing over 30,000 people. Yoshiki Foundation America donated $25,000 to the Red Cross and $100,000 through the Grammy Foundation.
Hokkaido Earthquake
Following the Hokkaido Earthquake in 2018, Yoshiki donated 10 million yen to help with the relief effort. In 2013 Yoshiki visited several schools in Ishinomaki, one of Japan's hardest hit cities by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. He returned in 2015 to kick off X Japan's world tour with a charity concert and donated the proceeds of $230,000
Hurricanes Helene and Milton
In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in September and October of 2024, Yoshiki donated $100,000 to disaster relief to aid victims devastated by the storms across the U.S.
The United States
• Yoshiki Foundation America's launch at club Nokia Los Angeles donated proceeds to the Grammy Foundation to Make-A-Wish Foundation, and to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.
• Yoshiki donated $125,000 for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
• Yoshiki donated $100,000 for urgent disaster relief to victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
• For 5 straight years, Yoshiki Foundation America was a main contributor to the annual Pablove Tennis Classic, which supports advanced cancer research and helps children live a love-filled life.
• Yoshiki donated $150,000 to the Frost school of music in support of music education.
• Yoshiki Foundation America donated $100,000 to "Covid-19 support foundation," to help musicians whose shows were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
• Yoshiki donated $100,000 to "MusiCares" a charity organization to support musicians suffering from mental health due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
• Yoshiki donated to the Shelly Berg Music Dean Endowment Frost School of Music in support of music education.
• Yoshiki donated to the Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation in support of the environment, community education projects, and promoting cultural activities.
• Yoshiki held an auction for a Private Dinner in Tokyo or Los Angeles for the Points of light.
• Friendly House donation in 2023 Japan society of Northern California sponsorship.

• Cedars Sinai Medical Center donation in support of first responders surrounding the L.A. Wildfires in 2025
• World Central Kitchen donation is support for displaced people due to the L.A. wildfires in 2025.
• American National Red Cross donation for L.A Wildfire relief in 2025.
• Hollywood Chamber of Commerce donation in support of entertainment personnel affected by the L.A. wildfires in 2025.
• Entertainment Community Fund donation in support of entertainment personnel affected by the L.A. wildfires in 2025.
• Motion Picture and Television Fund donation in support of entertainment personnel affected by the L.A. wildfires in 2025.
China
• Yoshiki visited a school in the city of Sichuan, China which was hit by the earthquake. Yoshiki donated pianos and several musical instruments.
Hong Kong
• X Japan invited 200 young orphans to their sold-out Hong Kong show during “X Japan World Tour Asia.”
• Hong Kong Red Cross donation in support of Tai Po district fire relief in 2025
Taiwan
• Yoshiki invited children from local orphanages to attend as a special guest at X Japan’s Taiwan show.
• Taiwanese Red Cross donation for Hualien Earthquake 2024
Indonesia
• Red Cross International donation in support of 2025 Southeast Asia Flood Relief.
Thailand
• RedCross International donation in support of 2025 Southeast Asia Flood Relief.
South Korea
• Yoshiki Foundation America donated 100 million won to ChildFund Korea to support victims of the forest fire which struck South Korea in April 2019.
Australia
• Yoshiki donated $50,000 to the Australian Red Cross Society supporting victims of Australian bushfires, and $50,000 to Rain Forest Trust for the conservation of tropical forests.
Ukraine
• Yoshiki has donated 20 million yen for Ukraine Humanitarian crisis
• Yoshiki has donated 10 million yen to the international organization for migration toward Ukraine relief
Japan
• Yoshiki Foundation America raised over $280,000 for the Japan Red Cross Society benefiting victims of Japan's 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
• Christel Vie Ensemble Foundation auctionYoshiki Foundation America hosted a charity Gala with the Miss International Beauty Pageant. Proceeds were donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees ( UNHCR).
• X Japan's world tour kick off concert raised $230,000 for the areas affected by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
• Yoshiki donated 10 million yen to the Japan Red Cross for the Kumamoto earthquake Relief Fund.
• Yoshiki donated $100,000 to the Birdlife international charity fund to help protect the world's unique wildlife population, global biodiversity, and natural resources.
• Yoshiki donated 20 million yen to Japan Red Cross Society for victims of Typhoon Faxi.
• Yoshiki donated 10 million yen to the National Center for Global Health and Medicine to support doctors during Covid-19.
